Pulis: Beattie must keep scoring goals for Stoke

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has told striker James Beattie that his rich vein of goalscoring must continue if the Potters are to avoid the drop. "We have seven games to go and it is very important that James gets us a few more goals," the Potters boss told Sky Sports News.

"He has done smashing so far, but the season isn't over.

"We have got so much more to fight for and so much more that we have got to get out of the season to make sure we are a Premier League club next year.

"James has got to realise, as have the rest of the lads, that he has got to continue to put in that effort and commitment.

"He has got a responsibility and a job to score as many goals as he can from now until the end of the season."
