Pulis admits West Brom contracts affected by club sale

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis admits player contract talks could be affected by the club's sale plans.

Pulis concedes the future of Gareth McAuley, together with a number of other players, will be governed by Jeremy Peace's proposed sale of the club.

"The thing that we have to do as a football club is find out what is going on in respect of the sale of the club - where it is going, which direction it is going in and everything else," said Pulis.

"There are loads of variations going on behind the scenes. I've spoken to the Chairman. He's been very open and honest about everything. It is difficult at times for players, it is difficult for me as a manager, it is difficult for supporters when these situations happen.

"But everyone has got to stay nice and cool and calm. I like Gareth, I think he's a great lad and he's played every game since I've been here, so you could say I also like him as a player as well - not just as an individual."
