Puigmal scores brace for Man Utd U23s in thrilling win over Tottenham

Manchester United U23s secured a thrilling 4-2 victory over Tottenham at Leigh Sports Village on Sunday.

It was an exciting contest from start to finish between the two Premier League powerhouses.

Shola Shoretire put United ahead after 13 minutes with a fine header, assisted by an inch-perfect cross from Facundo Pellestri.

Kion Etete found an equaliser for Spurs eight minutes later, only for Arnau Puigmal to restore United's lead after being set-up by Shoretire.

Puigmal then found his second on the stroke of half-time, put through by Lukasz Bejger, before finishing past Alfie Whiteman in the Spurs' goal.

Harvey White reduced the deficit seven minutes after the break and Spurs piled on the pressure to find an equaliser.

But Anthony Elanga managed to score deep into injury-time to seal an impressive victory for Neil Wood's side.
