Pugh consider his Stoke options after limited playing time

Danny Pugh is considering his future with the Potters after finding first-team football hard to come by at Stoke. The midfielder has slipped down the pecking order at the Britannia Stadium and has only featured in their Carling Cup endeavours, but has been limited to just three substitute outings in the Premier League.

"It hasn't been the best for me this season. I have either been in the stands, or on the bench in the league games, which is frustrating," the 26 year old told The Sentinel.

"I am at an age where I need to play football, but at the moment that is not happening, apart from the cup games.

"Last season I was getting in the team a bit more, but it's not really happened this season. I've just been on for five minutes here or 10 minutes there in the league.

"It is nice to get cup games under your belt, but you need more than Carling Cup and reserve games."
