Leicester City boss Claude Puel dismissed doubts about his future after victory at Everton.
Puel was asked about being tipped to be the next Premier League manager to face the axe after his City side made it three wins from four games over 11 days with victory over Everton at Goodison Park.
"No, I don't like to make bets for my part, I am not sure how that works, putting a bet on, that is not my concern," Puel said after Jamie Vardy's second half strike gave City a good start to 2019.
“My concern is to show my quality. I will defend my team, my squad and the club and I am just a person who serves the club and I would like to continue this way.
“Speculation, I cannot have an impact on this . For me, it is to continue my work and I love my squad.
“Young players they gave their best today with this togetherness. To keep my focus because we want to perform all the time. It was a good first half of the season to finish seventh in the table.
“I want to wish our fans a happy new year."
