PSV struggling to meet price to keep Everton defender Branthwaite

PSV Eindhoven could be priced out of signing Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

The youngster is on loan at the Dutch club under coach Ruud van Nistelrooy for this season.

However, PSV are unlikely to have the financial muscle to meet Everton's terms for a permanent deal.

"PSV has already tried to buy Branthwaite a few times," said Dutch football reporter Marco Timmer.

“They will still try to keep that boy, but that will not be easy. You are talking about amounts of more than 10 million euros.

“It is not easy for PSV to put such amounts on the table. It is a lot for PSV. (There will be a point where) you say you have to take a step back."
