Manchester United have raided PSV Eindhoven for top scout Roy Beukenkamp.

Voetbal International says the talent spotter will be based in his homeland as he helps recruit the very best for the Red Devils.

United are overhauling their scouting system with the aim of giving them more say in players coming to the club.

The former goalkeeper has been at PSV for 12 months following spells at FC Groningen and FC Twente.

"It was quite a difficult choice," Beukenkamp told VI.

"I worked very comfortable with PSV. When the club first showed interest so not addressed immediately.

"Eventually, you start thinking anyway. This is an opportunity that might never come. Last week, the clubs are hatched neat. I start immediately."
