PSV insider reveals Bergwijn 'joining Spurs for record money'

Tottenham and PSV Eindhoven have agreed terms over a fee for Steven Bergwijn.

The Holland attacker missed PSV's 1-1 draw with FC Twente yesterday as negotiations continued between the two clubs.

However, AD says a fee has now been agreed, with just the method of payment the outstanding issue to be addressed this morning.

PSV sources say Bergwijn will leave for "record money", which suggest Spurs will pay more than the €38m Napoli parted with to sign Hirving Lozano last summer.

Fulco van Kooperen, Bergwijn's business manager, spoke with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and manager Jose Mourinho last week.

"We are betting on a departure before January 31," said Van Kooperen.
