PSV Eindhoven have not forgotten about plans to re-sign Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel.

Having helped PSV to the league title last season, Van Ginkel was all set to return this summer in a permanent deal. However, a knee injury scuppered their plans.

Eindhovens Dagblad says PSV are maintaining contact and will try again for Van Ginkel at the end of this season.

Chelsea were prepared to sell the Dutchman for €10m six months ago and PSV expect that price to fall further given Van Ginkel's surgery.

The midfielder's deal with Chelsea runs to 2020.
