PSG are ready to get serious about prising N'Golo Kante away from Chelsea.

Le 10 Sport says Blues boss Maurizio Sarri continues to play the Frenchman outside of his favoured defensive midfield role.

Kante lifted the World Cup and won back-to-back Premier League titles by sitting in front of the defence.

But Sarri is struggling to get the same impact from the 27-year-old in his current midfield set-up.

Kante penned a new five-year contract worth a whopping £290,000-a-week in November.

It's claimed that the relationship between player and Sarri is fragile with PSG growing increasingly hopeful that a deal can be struck.
