PSG ace Lionel Messi has been suspended for two weeks by the club for traveling to Saudi Arabia without permission.

Messi is employed as a tourism ambassador for Saudi Arabia and made the trip after Sunday's defeat to Lorient at the Parc des Princes.

The Argentina captain, 35, sought permission for the visit, but was refused by PSG management.

Messi will not be able to train at PSG nor play for the club over the next fortnight.

Off contract in June, the attacker has been linked with a return to former club Barcelona this summer,
