PSG striker Mauro Icardi insists he left Inter Milan in August with his head held high.

Icardi has joined PSG on a season-long loan.

He said, “It's true that last season wasn't easy, even if I had the chance to play lots of games and score goals.

“My ambition is to continue to work hard and become one of the best centre-forwards in the world.

“I can do this by scoring as many goals as possible and working hard to reach my objectives."
