PSG striker Edinson Cavani is backing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane to win the Ballon d'Or this year.
Cavani says Varane deserves the title.
He explained: "Three to four players deserve it. Varane can be among the two, three.
"Griezmann... Kylian, he has been doing good things for two years. You have to look at everyone's performance, not just the name. We must look at the last years, what everyone has done, the titles won, the seasons made...
"For me, it's a Frenchman who must win. There are other players, but he must be French, they have won important things. He must be one of the three. Modric had a great season but Varane won the Champions League. Ok Modric is a finalist and has had a great season, but Varane deserves it more."
