PSG captain Thiago Silva has admitted he is in constant contact with Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

And the Brazilian says he remains hopeful that his compatriot will join the Parisians next season.

Barcelona had three sizeable offers for Coutinho rejected by the Reds, but recent reports have stated that the Ligue 1 club are interested in signing the 25-year-old and Silva has seemingly confirmed the speculation.

"I talk a lot with Coutinho. I hope that at the end of the season or even before, it could be a nice surprise for us," Silva is quoted as saying by Telefoot.

"I hope he will think well and that next year he will work with us."
