PSG midfielder Ander Herrera has likened coach Thomas Tuchel to former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

Herrera joined Manchester United in 2014, becoming the first signing of the Van Gaal era in the process.

And the Spain international was a regular under the Dutchman, with the duo helping the Red Devils lift the FA Cup trophy in 2016.

"In broad outline, he (Tuchel) makes me think of Van Gaal," the Spain international told Stadio TV.

“He likes football organised by position.

"He has nothing to do, for example, with Marcelo Bielsa, a trainer who also favours attacking play, but who is looking for football in continuous movement, where you have to break the lines, go get the ball yourself."
