PSG defender Marquinhos is sorry they have lost David Luiz.

The Brazilian says he was close to the new Chelsea defender.

"David Luiz is an exemplary person and player. I had the pleasure to have him with me to learn, and I tried to make the most of it.

"The life of a player in that position is risky because the central defender is the last man, he can not waver. The defender usually goes from zero to hero. Today, it can fall on me. David tomorrow, then Thiago.

"The life of a defender is so made, we must do our job perfectly. David is an outstanding central defender, he has made wonderful seasons here and he has won titles. Sometimes the criticism is exaggerated.

"We must learn from criticism. Critics can serve you, when they are constructive," he told ESPN.
