PSG coach Thomas Tuchel says beating Caen was the ideal warm-up for their Champions League date with Manchester United.
PSG will defend a 2-0 lead in the second-leg of their round 16 tie.
Kylian Mbappe scored twice and Tuchel said: "For me, he's an attacker who's going to finalise our attacks.
"As I said, he's an extraordinary player. Hungry for goals and he is sure to do it.
"The best way to prepare for a great game is to win the first one, it's good for the atmosphere.
"For the mood against Manchester United its absolutely necessary to play without fear, but it's ok not to play too hard, we have to find a middle ground, but think of Barcelona: we had won 4-0 and then we had lost 6-1."
