PSG chose not to compete for Man Utd star Pogba 'for various reasons'

PSG pulled back from competition for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba a year ago, it has been revealed.

Pogba left Juventus for United in a world record €100 million transfer last month.

However, Le Parisien says PSG were never in the running for the Frenchman, having dropped their interest a year ago.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi never considered challenging United in the transfer battle, having decided 12 months ago that they wouldn't be signing the midfielder "for various reasons, not just football".

Instead, PSG focused on other targets like former Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.
