PSG captain Thiago Silva has revisited their Champions League collapse against Manchester United last season.

While winning Ligue 1, PSG were knocked out of the Champions League at the round 16 stage and also lost to Rennes in the Coupe de France final.

Thiago Silva reflected: "In a season, there are tough times, like in the first leg against Liverpool. But we managed to recover, we came back stronger.

"I think we did not deserve to leave the Champions League that way. With all due respect for this Manchester team, we did not deserve to lose.

"But that's football too."
