PSG striker Kylian Mbappe is happy knowing Dad Wilfried is in contact with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

Le 10 Sport says amid serious interest from Real Madrid, Klopp phoned Mbappe senior to tell him how much he admires his son.

And it's now emerged Mbappe was flattered by Klopp's interest in signing him.

Klopp said last November: “Buying this calibre of player is difficult. I don't see any club at the moment who can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG.

“From a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him.

"What a player he is. But it is about the money, of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance. Sorry for killing that story."
