The Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim, is set to travel to Valencia, accompanied by his group of trustees led by former player Martin Prest, as rumours about a potential Los Che takeover continue to swirl.
Tunku Ismail took to Instagram to share pictures of a video conference he had with LaLiga president Javier Tebas and the organisation's director of international development Oscar Mayo, reports Marca.
LaLiga has an excellent relationship with the Prince of Johor. In fact, on more than one occasion, the prince consulted LaLiga about financial control issues and other organisation initiatives he could implement on the domestic league.
Prest, who played football in Spain before retiring, is the Prince's man of trust and could be the link between Tunku Ismail and Valencia.
Dani Guiza, who also plied his trade at Johor Darul Ta'zim in 2012/13, is confident that the prince will invest in big signings if he takes over Valencia.
"Valencia are going to be great if [the prince] becomes president," said Guiza.
"He loves football a lot and I'm sure that if he gets there... watch out for Valencia.
"He's a president who doesn't care about money. What he wants is to win and succeed and he will bring in good signings."
