The Prince of Johor appears to be assisting Peter Lim in the sale of Valencia.
Billionaire Tumku Ismail, the son of the King of Johor, is a close friend of Lim, Valencia's largest shareholder, and on Monday posted to social media an alleged copy from a consultancy group on the economic value of the Mestalla club.
The value declared was €408m, which many observers have dubbed extreme.
However, Mundo Deportivo says there could be two motivations behind Ismail's gesture - either to drum up interest for his good friend, or to test the water himself and see the reaction of VCF fans.
For his part, Lim has never confirmed reports he intends to sell the club.
