Preston North End veteran Kevin Davies has revealed how a street joke went wrong with Manchester United hero Patrice Evra.
Davies and Evra clashed during Davies' time at Bolton Wanderers.
He said: "Patrice Evra and I had some battles and apparently he said to me, 'Why do you give me such a hard time?' and I said, 'Because I don't like you'.
"But I never said that. I bumped into him in town, I was with my wife, and I walked up to him and wouldn't let him pass in the street. It was a joke but he didn't seem to get it."
Preston and Davies face United tonight in the FA Cup.
