On-loan Everton youngster Tom Cannon has lavished praise on club captain Seamus Coleman.

Cannon, who is at Preston to the end of the season after arriving in January, only has positive words about the veteran right-back.

Presently on international duty with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s, Cannon took time to talk about his countryman and Everton skipper Coleman.

“Seamus is always the first with the arm around the shoulder," he revealed, per the Liverpool Echo.

“He always comes over and makes sure you're alright.

“Since I've been away with Preston, he's been dropping me texts after games and saying I'm playing well and to keep going, which is always nice."
