Manchester United midfielder Ben Pearson is joining Preston North End.

The Mirror says United have agreed a £100,000 fee with the Championship club for the 21-year-old.

Pearson failed to make a first team appearance for United having been at the club since he was nine.

The England Under-20 international had spent the first half of the season on loan at League OneBarnsley following a successful spell at the club last season.

Pearson returned to Old Trafford earlier this week and Bournemouth were reported to be interested in signing him on loan.
