Preston midfielder McGeady concedes Everton career over

Aiden McGeady concedes his Everton career is over.

The 30-year-old winger is on loan at Preston North End this season after Ronald Koeman told him he was not part of the plans at Goodison.

Speaking to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, McGeady said: “I've still got another year at Everton but I think it is quite clear that I'm not part of the manager's plans there.

“I will see how it goes until the end of the season and see what happens in the summer. If it comes to it and Preston want to offer me something, I like it here."

McGeady joined Everton from Spartak Moscow in January 2014 but has made just 43 appearances, scoring one goal.
