PREMIERSHIP WRAP: Chelsea open up four point lead at summit, Hull remain in trouble and Arsenal see off Sunderland

Chelsea took maximum points at Wolves, but Hull lose in bottom of the table clash and Sunderland's freefall continues. Chelsea took full advantage of Manchester United's slip at Everton by taking three points off Wolves at Molineux with a 2-0 win.

The Blues were never at their best but still came away with a win.

Kevin Doyle and Kevin Foley both tested Petr Cech as Wolves had the better of the early sparring but it was Didier Drogba who showed the route to goal just before half time.

Cech again was the busier of the keepers as the second half began but Drogba added his second courtesy of a long punt from the keeper to seal the points.

Sunderland's miserable run of form continues as they went down 2-0 at Arsenal.

Nicklas Bendtner had earlier struck the bar before he gave the Gunners the lead, taking advantage of some slack visitor's marking.

Kenwyne Jones should have levelled when put clear, but dragged his effort wide with Manuel Almunia beaten.

After the break it was a similar tale as Arsenal dominated possession but were nearly caught out as Almunia was forced to make a sharp stop from Darren Bent.

Then in the final minute Cesc Fabregas was brought down in the penalty area by Frazier Campbell and the Spaniard converted from 12 yards.

West Ham enjoyed a dream start against fellow strugglers Hull City when Valon Behrami opened the scoring after just three minutes.

Hull pressed the self destruct button early in the second period as Craig Fagan collected a second yellow card.

The Hammers quickly made their numerical superiority count and Carlton Cole doubled their advantage.

Julien Faubert then added a third on the stroke of full time.
