PREMIER LEAGUE WRAP SATURDAY: Arsenal back on winners' list, Man Utd continue form as Sunderland hold Chelsea

Arsenal were back in winning form in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday afternoon as Manchester United continued their recent run of good form.

Arsene Wenger's Gunners produced a comfortable 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns to move up to sixth on the table following 2-1 loss to Swansea City and United in their previous two outings.

Danny Welbeck headed home a Santi Cazorla cross in the 60th minute to give Arsenal a much-needed win following on from their 2-0 triumph over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League during the week.

Man Utd strung together a third win in a row by easily accounting for Hull City 3-0 at Old Trafford, cementing their spot in fourth position.

Louis van Gaal's improving side, who were served by goals from Chris Smalling, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, were extremely convincing at home as they continue to get their season back on track after a less than impressive beginning under the Dutchman.

Liverpool ended a three-match losing streak by edging Stoke City 1-0 at Anfield courtesy of Glen Johnson's 85th-minute goal to move up to 11th as West Ham United brought Newcastle United's five-game winning spell to a halt by winning 1-0 at Upton Park.

QPR edged Leicester City 3-2 in an enthralling contest at Loftus Road which ended with a 73rd-minute winner from Charlie Austin who now has seven goals this campaign.

Danny Ings scored his fourth goal in five matches to produce a point for Burnley who drew 1-1 with Aston Villa at Turf Moor, Swansea City and Crystal Palace played out a 1-1 draw in south Wales as league leaders Chelsea were frustrated by a disciplined Sunderland side in their 0-0 draw at the Stadium of Light.
