PREMIER LEAGUE: Reading still waiting for three points after scoreless draw with Norwich

Reading played out a forgettable 0-0 draw with Norwich City at the Madjeski Stadium and will have to wait a little longer for their first victory of the season.

Norwich are now unbeaten in their last four Premier League games and manager Chris Hughton will be the happier of the two managers as they ground out a stubborn draw which sees them sit in 15th position with 11pts from as many games.

In a first half devoid of chances, Garath McCleary tested Norwich keeper John Ruddy with a fierce free-kick only for the England reserve shot-stopper to parry.

The home side looked to up the ante in the second half and Sean Morrison nearly opened the scoring only to see his strong header drift past the post.

Reading wideman Jimmy Kebe looked to be their most dangerous outlet and came closest when ratting the crossbar with a sweet strike, while at the other end, Canaries talisman Grant Holt put his free header wide.

The stalemate sees Reading still waiting for a win with only three Premier League clubs having previously avoided relegation after failing to win in their first 10 games of the season - Derby County in 2000-01, Everton in 1994-95, and Blackburn in 1996-97.
