Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara believes the Premier League is the best competition in world football, but says he currently has no desire to leave Germany for England.

The Spanish international is in his third season with the Bundesliga Champions, but was linked with a move to Manchester United prior to joining Bayern from Barcelona in 2013.

"All I will say is that it is an amazing league," Alcantara told the Daily Mail when asked if he hopes to play in the Premier League one day.

"It is probably the best league in the world but I'm very happy at Bayern and fulfilled with what I am doing."
