Predicted numbers for Barcelona's Spotify deal dramatically falling

The numbers around Barcelona's deal with Spotify are falling.

Sport says Spotify will only pay €5 million for the naming rights to Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium until 2025. The sponsorship deal between the parties has not yet been made official. When the partnership kicks in, the name of the stadium will be Spotify Camp Nou, as reported by RAC1.

RAC1 had announced that Barça would be paid €280 million for three years, but other media outlets are starting to reduce that figure. Catalan outlet Sport claims that Barcelona will receive €225 million over three years, at €75 million per season. It would generate €65 million for the men's and women's first team shirt, €5 million for the back of the training shirt and €5 million for the Camp Nou naming rights.

Barcelona are also planning on playing a season at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys in Montjuïc as work begins on renovating Camp Nou. There remains the possibility of Barça finalising a deal with Spotify beyond 2024 that will bring in €400 million over the next 20 years.

2Playbook claims that the deal will not exceed €62.5 million per season; €57.5 million for the shirt and €5 million for Camp Nou. This would then mean that the Barça shirt would lose value. The current partnership involving Rakuten-Beko-Stanley gives the club a total of €68.5 million.
