Poyet starts dreaming of Brighton for League One title

Gus Poyet's Brighton side opened up a seven-point gap at the top of League One over Huddersfield after their narrow 1-0 win at Oldham. It meant a fifth straight win for the Seagulls and with the season entering its final stretch, Poyet believes his side are displaying their title credentials.

"We did it with courage and spirit and we showed what you need to become champions," he said.

"We are trying to keep a run going and we didn't start brightly but we have a squad and made changes. Our back four and keeper were outstanding and if you defend like that you keep clean sheets and win games."
