Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is pleased with where they sit on the Premier League table.

Poyet believes they have a fighting chance of beating the drop.

"If you said when I first walked into the club at quarter to 12 that first night in October that we would be where we are, I would have taken it. I hated looking at the table in that first two weeks. Then it looked very difficult. What a great opportunity we've got now. This is why I came here."
