Chris Powell insists he has no intentions of quitting his post at Huddersfield Town.
The 45-year old has been in charge of the Terriers since September last year when he was hired on a rolling contract following the sudden dismissal of Mark Robins after the first game of the season and has been linked with an exit at the culmination of the current campaign.
Powell has guided Huddersfield to safety in the Championship with the club sitting 17th, 12 points clear of the drop zone, and the former Charlton Athletic boss says he is looking ahead to the next campaign at the John Smith's Stadium.
"I understand how social media is and how things can snowball," he said. "I am Huddersfield Town manager, I enjoy being Huddersfield Town manager, I have settled in the area fine.
"There's some good people at this football club, good staff.
"I understand when things aren't going great that people might make stories up.
"I am planning for next year with Dean (Hoyle), I am planning to make us as strong as we can, make us better, trying to make us consistent which is the big thing for us moving forward.
"I can't stop what people put on social media but I can categorically say I have got pre-season more or less sewn up.
"I am planning for next year and planning to get us in the top half which we haven't done in the three seasons we have been in the Championship.
"It hasn't been much change from previous seasons. I'd like to improve us but it's going to be tough."
