Positive Kane scan boosts Tottenham hopes

Harry Kane has undergone a very positive scan on his damaged ankle ligaments.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker sustained the injury late in last weekend's win over Sunderland and was forecast to be sidelined for up to eight weeks.

However, Spur boss Mauricio Pochettino says there has been some good news regarding Kane.

Ahead of Tuesday night's Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow in Russia, the Argentine said: "Half an hour ago, we received the information about the scan. It's much, much better than we expected.

"We are happy, it was very positive, the scan. We're very, very happy about this news but still we cannot give a time of how long it'll be to recover.

"I am not a doctor, it's hard to say one, two, three weeks, but it's much, much better than we expected."
