Mainz striker Aristide Bance is attracting big Premiership interest.

Portsmouth, West Ham and Birmingham City are all tracking the Burkina Faso international forward.

Bild says Bance was reported to have told a British journalist: "The Premier League is for me one of the best leagues in the world. I have asked an English agent to look for clubs that have interest in me. "

However, Mainz manager Christian Heidel rejected the rumours. "This is all complete nonsense. Bance has never spoken to a British journalist. He is called repeatedly by agents."
