Darren Ferguson has turned down the job at Tranmere Rovers.
The Mirror says Ferguson has turned down the chance of a quick return to management with Tranmere Rovers.
The young Scot, sacked by Peterborough United a fortnight ago, was sounded out about the Rovers post and considered it during a short holiday break.
Ferguson has been linked with the Portsmouth post in the last 24 hours.
