Portsmouth keeper James: We can still beat drop

Portsmouth goalkeeper David James insists they can still beat the drop after last night's defeat to Fulham.

James - who wore the skipper's armband at Craven Cottage - insists it is not all over.

"We had two games in hand, now it's one, but a six-point gap is not insurmountable," he told the club's website.

"You've seen us out there at Fulham. We played well. One incident has cost us the game while we've had four or five chances and not taken them. I don't think confidence is an issue. We looked good."
