Portsmouth keeper James: I have saved penalties against Germans

Portsmouth goalkeeper David James has revealed he has some success against Germans in penalties.

James knows there is a prospect England's clash with Germany on Sunday could be decided by a shootout.

And he even knows what it's like to save a German penalty.

"Thomas Hitzlsperger, in (Aston Villa) training," he told the Daily Mail. "Oh and Klinsmann."

Which is true. September 22, 1995. Tottenham 0 Liverpool 0. James dived to his left to deny Jurgen Klinsmann with a fine one-handed save.
