Portsmouth hero Stefanovic fancies manager job

Dejan Stefanovic is eyeing the Portsmouth job in the future.

The popular Blues defender has recently retired and is now keen to enter coaching.

"I retired last year because of my knee injury," Stefanovic told The News. "Since then I've taken time out from football. At the moment I have plenty of time to do other things.

"I can travel, watch some games and play tennis. But that's at the moment, from next year things may be a little different.

"I want to stay in football and go into coaching management, but I don't want to do it very quickly. Even if it takes a couple of years I want to do it professionally.

"I want to meet other coaches and travel to other countries to see how they set up training sessions. It's going to take a bit of time, but I want to do it the right way.

"Who knows? My vision is to be Portsmouth manager one day."
