Portsmouth will face a trip to Football League new boys Stevenage in the first round of this season's Carling Cup. Boro were five divisions below Pompey last season prior to their promotion from the Conference and the south-coast side's relegation from the Premier League.
The tie will take place during the week commencing August 9.
