Portsmouth are ready to re-sign Middlesbrough midfielder Gary O'Neil.
The Mirror says the South Coast club intend to re- sign former trainee O'Neil, 25, as a midfield replacement for Niko Kranjcar.
O'Neil joined Middlesbrough in August 2007 for £5million, but is desperate to rejoin Pompey. And the attacking midfielder will get his wish if struggling Boro are relegated.
