Portsmouth deny Lens claims: Dindane remains loan signing

Portsmouth insist Aruna Dindane remains on-loan from Lens.

There had been fears that the on-loan Dindane would have to return to France with Lens threatening to take the striker back if Portsmouth did not pay an estimated £3.5million they still owed.

But their president Gervais Martel told a press conference on Friday: "Today, the loan at Portsmouth becomes a permanent transfer. Aruna has officially made his number of games.

Dindane joined Pompey on loan at the beginning of the season and the Ivory Coast international has scored five goals in 15 games.

But a Portsmouth spokesman said: "He hasn't played the required number of games for it to be a permanent transfer.

"He is still on a loan agreement as far as we are concerned."
