Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie has categorically denied reports Avram Grant will be appointed manager in the summer. Storrie told the club's website: "Avram is a good friend of the club but to suggest he will be returning to Fratton Park is totally untrue. There have been absolutely no discussions with Avram.
"Had the Sunday newspaper checked with the club, we would have told them so."
