Portsmouth defender Djimi Traore has confirmed he wants to sign permanently with Birmingham City.

"I like it here, the manager trusts me, and I would like to continue here," Traore told skysports.com. "Hopefully we will have a straight promotion. We missed a good chance over the weekend but we are ready.

"We like to make things difficult but I am sure we will do it and bring this great club into the Premier League.

"I am looking forward to it. I am enjoying myself here, so when you are happy somewhere it is good to stay."
