Portsmouth chief Peter Storrie insists goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is not for sale.

The Bosnia international has been linked with Harry Redknapp's Tottenham.

But Storrie told The News: "It's absolute rubbish that Asmir will be leaving us. We've haven't even heard anything from Spurs.

"This lad is the future of this football club and he can go on and on and on. We've all been very impressed with him. He's done fantastic since he's come into the side and I hope it continues.

"I think you have got to give full credit to Dave Coles, who has nurtured him for a long time.

"And we are definitely not looking to sell Asmir."
