Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is delighted with the signings he's made so far this summer.

Redknapp told the Portsmouth News: "I've signed three players so far and I'm very happy with what I've got. Sulley Muntari has talent and Hermann Hreidarsson is strong.

"Sylvain Distin excites me. What a free signing he is. He is an absolutely fantastic player. Big, powerful and very, very quick. I would put my life on him being an outstanding player in the Premiership next season.

"He is going to be one of the stars of the league. He has proved how good he is already at Manchester City. He'll be good for Linvoy and Sol too. We need options at the back.

"I'm certain he is going to be a brilliant player for us next season."
