Portsmouth boss Paul Hart is confident French striker Frederic Piquionne will come good.

He said: "With Fred, he has just got to learn the subtleties of the game. I won't go any further than saying that but it's a massive culture shock, a change, and he's got to pick it up.

"He played in the reserves and we've had a good chat, so he knows exactly where he stands. He's got everything, it's just that he needs to develop an Englishness."
