Portsmouth boss Hart: Carling Cup great chance for glory

Bottom of the table Portsmouth are serious about trying to win the Carling Cup, says manager Paul Hart.

Hart told The News: "We're at home so you can't ask any more.

"I said right from the start, I want to progress, definitely. The reasons we made changes last week was because people were cup tied and a couple injured.

"If I could have played the side that played on the Saturday we would. We will play our strongest team."

Hart believes the Stoke clash represents a tough tie, but one which is winnable for his men.

And he highlighted the number of all-Premier League ties as another reason to be optimistic.

Hart said: "With so many Premier League clubs drawn against each other it's a tasty tie - and a good opportunity to progress."
