Portsmouth manager Avram Grant has emerged as the frontrunner for the recently vacated West Ham United job.
Hammers officials are seeking a replacement for Gianfranco Zola after sacking the Italian following a poor season in England's top flight.
Ex-Chelsea boss Grant, who will lead Pompey into the FA Cup final against his former club on Saturday, has been heavily linked with the job at Upton Park which the club want to fill within a matter of weeks.
"We are looking to find a new manager within three weeks," said co-owner David Sullivan.
